What happened

Tenant moved into the rental unit approximately 20 years ago and moved out on July 31, 2021 after giving notice. The Landlord purchased the property on July 1, 2021 and the Tenant did not make any rent payments to the Landlord. The Tenant applied for an order to determine whether the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 applies.
