What happened

The Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to non-payment of rent, substantial interference, and persistent late payment of rent. The Landlords also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date and for unpaid utility costs.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants pay the full amount owing by June 30, 2023 or July 10, 2023. If the Tenants do not pay the amount, they must vacate the unit by July 10, 2023. The Tenants are also ordered to pay the Landlords' reasonable out-of-pocket expenses for unpaid utility costs.
