What happened

Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant seriously impairing the safety of others and wilfully causing undue damage to the rental unit and residential complex. The Tenant was not present at the hearing.

The ruling

The Landlord has proven the grounds for termination of the tenancy and the claim for compensation. The Tenant must move out by October 20, 2024 and pay the Landlord $856.82, which includes compensation for use of the unit and the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay by the due date, they will owe interest.
