What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Tenant's dog has seriously impaired the safety of other tenants and their families in the residential complex, and the Tenant has committed an illegal act by failing to leash the dog as required.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the rental unit by November 15, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $186 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 15, 2023, they will owe interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
