What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit in order to demolish the unit. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective July 31, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced starting August 1, 2023. The Landlord's claim for compensation is dismissed.
