What happened

The Landlord applied for an order requiring the Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on January 1, 2023 and did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from November 1, 2022 to January 1, 2023.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $886.00, which includes rent arrears owing up to January 1, 2023 and the cost of the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by July 7, 2023, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 6.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
