What happened
The Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to the Tenant allowing approximately 20 pigeons inside the rental unit, which the Landlord claimed seriously impaired the safety of others in the residential complex.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the rental unit by November 7, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenant is also ordered to pay the Landlord $186 for the cost of filing the application.
