What happened
The Landlord filed an L9 application because the Tenant did not pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on July 31, 2022, without providing proper notice as per the Residential Tenancies Act.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated as of August 31, 2022, the date the Tenant moved out of the rental unit. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $1,384.61, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application, less the last month's rent deposit and interest.
