What happened

The landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenants due to non-payment of rent. The N4 notice had an error in the rental period, so the Board amended the application to be for arrears only, without seeking eviction.

The ruling

The Board ordered the tenants to pay the landlord $2,900 in rent arrears and $201 in application filing fees. If the tenants do not pay by May 30, 2023, they will owe interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
