What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year by the Landlord's son.
The ruling
The Landlord's application to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants is granted. The Tenants must vacate the rental unit by November 30, 2024. The Landlord must pay the Tenants one month's rent in compensation by August 14, 2024. The Tenants owe the Landlord daily compensation of $36.16 per day starting August 15, 2024 until they vacate. The Landlord owes the Tenants $1,007.51 for the rent deposit and interest, which will be deducted from any amount the Tenants owe.
