What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to their failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenants failed to pay $500 towards outstanding arrears and the March 2023 rent by the due date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective May 14, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $15,314.96 (less any payments made after March 29, 2023) for rent arrears up to May 3, 2023 and the cost of the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenants must also pay the Landlord $56.45 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting May 4, 2023 until they move out.
