What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to their failure to meet a condition specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenants were required to pay $500 towards arrears by January 18, 2023, but they did not make this payment.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective April 23, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $8,682.23, which includes the remaining rent arrears from the previous order and new arrears up to April 12, 2023, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay the Landlord $57.11 per day for use of the unit starting April 13, 2023 until they vacate.
