What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord served a valid N8 notice of termination on the Tenant.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 23, 2023. The Tenant must move out by this date. If the unit is not vacated by June 23, 2023, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement. The Tenant must pay the Landlord compensation of $26.30 per day for use of the unit starting August 29, 2022 until the move-out date, minus the last month's rent deposit and interest.
