What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears.
The ruling
Unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $3,995.75 by March 31, 2024 or $5,255.75 by April 8, 2024, the tenancy is terminated. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must pay $2,213.99 to the Landlord and vacate the unit by April 8, 2024. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
