What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The Tenant wished to raise her own issues under section 82 of the Act, but was not permitted to do so due to late disclosure.

The ruling

The Tenant has persistently failed to pay rent on the date it became due and payable. The tenancy shall terminate on April 30, 2025, and if the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlords may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for enforcement.
