What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed charges related to non-sufficient funds (NSF) cheques.
The ruling
Unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $10,726 by April 14, 2024, the tenancy will be terminated. If the Tenant does not void the order, they must pay the Landlord $5,443.16 and vacate the unit by April 14, 2024. The Tenant will also owe daily compensation of $72.33 for each day of occupation after March 20, 2024.
