What happened
The Landlord applied to evict the Tenants for non-payment of rent. An initial eviction order was issued on April 3, 2025. The Tenants requested a review of this order on April 24, 2025. At a videoconference hearing for the review, both parties reached a mutual agreement to resolve the matter.
The ruling
The LTB granted the Tenants' request for a review, cancelled the previous order, and issued a new consent order. The Tenants are required to pay the Landlord $16,386.00 in arrears and costs according to a detailed payment plan starting June 2025. The eviction is denied on the condition that the Tenants adhere to this payment schedule. If they fail to make any payment, the Landlord can apply for an eviction order without a further hearing.
