What happened

Tenant applied for an order determining that Landlords collected money illegally, harassed, obstructed, coerced, threatened or interfered with the Tenant, entered the rental unit illegally, and substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit.

The ruling

The parties reached a consent order. Landlords agreed to pay the Tenant $1106.62, which includes $500 for key deposit, $353.62 for unauthorized charge, $200 for entering the unit without proper protective equipment, and $53 for the Tenant's filing fee. Landlords also agreed to bring the Tenant's ledger balance to $0. Payment is to be made by cheque by May 30, 2022.
