What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Landlord in good faith requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 20, 2023. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before June 20, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $1,841.10 for use and occupation of the unit from December 1, 2022 to April 19, 2023, and $13.15 per day starting April 20, 2023 until the Tenant moves out. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application.
