What happened

The ruling

The tenancy will be terminated if the tenant does not pay $14,987.12 by May 31, 2023 or $16,454.52 by June 9, 2023 to void the order. If the tenancy is terminated, the tenant must pay $11,812.12 to the landlord, which includes rent arrears up to the hearing date and the cost of filing the application, minus the rent deposit and interest on the deposit. The tenant must also pay daily compensation of $48.24 for each day of occupation starting April 27, 2023 until the unit is vacated.
