What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants vacated the rental unit on November 18, 2022, and the Landlord alleged that the Tenants did not pay the full rent for the period from May 1, 2022 to March 31, 2023.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $15,645.66, which includes rent arrears up to November 18, 2022 and the cost of the application, minus the rent deposit and interest. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by April 16, 2023, they will start owing interest at 6% annually on the outstanding balance.
