What happened
The landlord and tenants entered into an agreement to terminate the tenancy as of March 31, 2023, but the tenants did not move out by the termination date. The landlord filed an application to obtain vacant possession.
The ruling
The tenancy between the landlord and tenants is terminated. The tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before May 7, 2023. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The tenants shall pay the landlord $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the tenants do not pay the full amount by May 7, 2023, they will start owing interest at 6.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
