What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment or lawful right, privilege or interest of the Landlord or another tenant. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date and for unpaid utility costs.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $18.09 for unpaid water utility costs and $186 for the application filing fee, for a total of $204.09. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by June 21, 2024, they will start owing interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
